The necessary climate for successful tea harvest is wet and warm weather with substantial rain falls during the year. The best conditions are sunny days followed by rainy nights, combined with the location of high altitudes. A freshly harvested tea leaf consists up to 80% of water. About 10% of the whole leaf contains chlorophyll, starch, salts and resin.
