Unusual Tea Packaging Tips For Homemade Tea
Finding your own personal blend of tea is a great sense of accomplishment. No one knows your tastes better than you do, and the idea of creating your own mixes can be a bit addicting. Should you have extra after your latest experiment, and I know I usually do, tea can make great gifts. However, you can’t always just give someone a tin full of tea leaves. Not everyone has the proper equipment for making loose leaf tea.
The first thing you’ll need in order to package your tea is a piece of cheese cloth. The cheese cloth will allow the tea to breath, and will also hold up to steeping in hot water. Wrap a bit of the tea leaves with the cloth, and then twist and tie off with string. The fun part of this exercise is the decoration. Please note that you should not decorate the tea bag itself, as it may add unwanted flavors or colors into the tea. The rest of the look is up to you. Personally, I like to customize the string and holder depending on the flavor of the tea. Rather than deal with labels, I can just grab the color that I know works best with the mood that I’m in. Red for angry, blue for sad, and so on. It might be a bit unusual, but it works great for me.
