Tea’s Me (The Type I Drink Each Day Defines Me)
It’s Monday and 7:45 AM traffic is jammed because of thick fog and drizzling rain. Work begins at 8, but I already know I will arrive at 8:07. Upon arrival, a caffeine boost of rich Earl Grey tea, brewed for four minutes with a touch of creamer for decadence helps me imagine I’m in London in typical weather.
Wednesday and the weather and mood is better. One of my friends is having her first baby and she’d be honored if I’d be godmother. Picked out a Blueberry White tea to celebrate; sweet and ethereal, I can picture me, dancing through a meadow, perhaps picking daisies in lush Spring.
It’s Friday and Thursday night was not good. Stomach’s upset and not entirely sure what’s to blame: leftover chinese food or an impending cold. Brew for a scant two minutes fresh Green Tea, imported straight from Japan. The flavor is full, and herbacious, and the antioxidants seem to work wonders to detox my body.
Saturday morning and everything aches. Impending cold has decided to take residence in me for an unknown duration. Brewing a floral Chamomile Tea, for eight minutes, that will help me climb right back into bed for the weekend.
